Its has been crazy since February of 2020, Covid-19, Civil unrest, Elections and list goes on. The series of events that are occurring are having a significant negative impact in the Firearms business in the country. Guns and ammo are difficult to find and prices are greatly inflated. We will do our best to assist everyone in trying to find the product they are searching for at the best price possible. We appreciate all of the customer loyalty and business.

We are back to normal business hours; Tuesday/Thursday 9am-5pm, OPEN. All other days 9am-5pm, by APPOINTMENT. Closed on Sundays and Holidays. Saturday appointments are $35.00 minimum fee. Appointments can be made by email ( or by text message to 912-754-1587.

Dixie Triggers chose not renew our SOT. Effective July 1, 2021 we are no longer a Class-3 dealer and cannot sell NFA items (subject to change in the future depending upon demand).

Credit Card service providers have been doing a lot to increase fees for services to dealers and to the customers and decreased the quality of service. Effective July 1,2021 we no longer accept credit/debit cards. All services & sales will be paid in cash or check.

We regret to announce that our Gunsmith has moved out of state. We will continue doing armorer work, minor repairs and limited cleaning, but are unable to provide major gun-smith repairing, barrel threading, restorations and the like as of yet.

Dixie Triggers and Eden Gun Works’ holiday hours are as follows:

Closed the week of Thanksgiving (November 23rd – 28th)

Open for appointments November 30th through December 22nd

Closed for Christmas, inventory, and New Years December 23rd through January 4th.

Do not forget to vote for the Senate run off election on January 5th.

This shop supports Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in their elections to continue to be Georgia’s Senators. These two people best represent the values and morals of the citizens of the state of Georgia and will best represent us in the national government. The runoff election on January 5th may decide which party controls the US Senate and has attracted the interest of people across the country. Money from outside the state is flowing in from people who would use Georgia to push agendas not in line with Georgia values.

During the final year of the Obama administration a push was made to use the State Department instead of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to set the definition of firearms manufacturing. This change, if it had not been revoked by the Trump administration, would have made the gunsmithing operations of this shop subject to business killing and overly burdensome regulation by an agency that has no business overseeing domestic firearm work.

If you support either Democrat candidate Jon Ossof or Rafael Warnock to represent the state of Georgia in the Senate, you are supporting regulations and ideas that would shut down this business and should find another firearms shop to do business with. If you do not plan to vote in the runoff or plan to vote for candidates other than Kelly Loeffler or David Perdue, we request that you wait until after the runoff election to conduct business with us.

The firearms industry has been very busy! Availability has not returned. If you are looking for handguns, tactical rifles, or anything home defense we are having a very difficult time locating it. Ammunition for those types of firearms is likewise very scarce.

There has been a spike in Effingham County and surrounding areas of new Covid-19 infections. We at Dixie Triggers are trying to do our best to keep everyone safe and healthy. From now until further notice we will be wearing face coverings and we will be requiring customers to wear face coverings. For more information on what to wear and how to ear it please see the CDC’s website here:

Wearing a face covering is an easy way to help keep others in the community safer. Coronavirus is still a threat to our community and we are paying close attention to how that fight is progressing. We pray that everyone stays safe and healthy.

COVID-19 is still raging across our state. While there are cases in Effingham County it appears the rate of infections has been suppressed. We as business owners and citizens have a responsibility to look out for the safety of our customers and community around us.

Dixie Triggers and Eden Gun Works are open for business. We are taking in FFL transfers and working with customers on firearm customization. Due to the current pandemic we are limiting our customer interactions and still operating under an “appointment only” model. (For more information on our appointment only policy, see here.)

Firearm sales are up and demand is high, particularly around self defense handguns and rifles. Ammunition is near impossible to find through our wholesalers for these types of firearms. Businesses across the country are operating under restrictions and this has slowed manufacturing and distribution. We anticipate availability to be limited for months.

As always we look forward to helping our customers get the right firearms and accessories for their needs. If you have any questions feel free to email or call or text the shop phone at 912-754-1587.

Dixie Triggers and Eden Gun Works are open for business. Due to the lingering illness, we are operating by APPOINTMENT ONLY under the guidelines listed here. If you have real business with us, please email to schedule an appointment.

We anticipate running the firearm shop this way for many more months. Please be patient with us as we work to provide the best service while striving to keep our families’ and customers’ health and well being protected.

Everyone stay safe! If you are sick or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 stay home!

On April 6th Dixie Triggers and Eden Gun Works temporarily suspended operations due to the spike in new COVID-19 cases. After careful consideration we have decided to keep the shop in a suspended status one more week.

Starting Tuesday, April 21st we are planning to return to by appointment only. We will be giving priority to those customers that had business with us interrupted by the temporary suspension.

Please remember that appointments must be made in advance and will only be made for customers with real business. Customers are expected to practice good personal hygiene as directed by the CDC, and may be subject to screening at the shop.

Dixie Triggers and Eden Gun Works reserve the right to close at any time, or cancel any pending appointments, should we feel that the safety of us, our families, or the community require this.

We hope and pray everyone stays safe. If you have any questions please feel free to email or call or text the shop phone at 912-754-1587.

Updated Tuesday, April 14th.

The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is the system implemented by the Brady Act that Federally Licensed Firearms dealers use to run the background checks on firearms purchases. This system is run by the FBI. Over the past few years the number of checks run through this system has increased to the point where single events can cause problems.

With the COVID-19 outbreak causing shelter in place orders around the country, and the spike in firearms purchases in response, it has been difficult for Dixie Triggers to run background checks in a timely fashion. We have been unable to contact NICS in several cases, and have had to schedule follow-up appointments on a later day to complete the transaction.

Dixie Triggers, as a Federally licensed dealer, is required to follow the law as listed in the Brady Act. We have no control over the management or operations of FBI NICS.

Dixie Triggers strongly encourages all customers get their Georgia Weapons Carry License (WCL). (Unfortunately at this time all new WCL applications cannot be made as the Probate Courts that issue such licenses are closed due to the virus.) We are allowed to bypass the background check requirement for customers with a valid Georgia WCL. If we need to run a background check please understand that it may take days or weeks to complete the sale or transfer.

Despite the current ammo shortages Dixie Triggers has plenty of .22 LR, .22 Magnum, .380 ACP, and various centerfire rifle cartridges. Some of these have special pricing!

As of right now we are out of: 9mm, .45ACP, .38SPL, .223Rem/5.56mm, .308Win, 7.62x39mm, and 12GA.

As of today, March 19th 2020, Dixie Triggers will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

EEMA confirmed today the first case of COVID-19 of an Effingham County resident. Our customer’s safety is a top concern and are taking steps to reduce the chances that the firearms shop becomes a place for the virus to spread.

Until further notice,
-Dixie Trigger’s and Eden Gun Work’s business will be conducted by appointment only.
-Appointments will only be available to customers that have real business with us.
-Any customers that have symptoms associated with the novel coronavirus or who have traveled to areas the virus is widespread should stay home.
-All customers will be required to wear a face covering in accordance with CDC guidance
-All customers will be subject to screening before admittance into the shop and we reserve the right to deny admittance to anyone.
-We will be conducting business under our awning just in front and respectfully ask that customers not enter the shop.

In response to the emergency declarations and travel limitations issued by Chatham County and the City of Savannah we will not be scheduling appointments to residents of those areas. We are committed to serving the residents of Effingham County.

Please work with us and take this illness as seriously as we do. This are the last steps we can take to reduce infection risk without closing the shop until the outbreak diminishes.

These policies are in effect until further notice. Dixie Triggers and Eden Gun Works reserve the right to change policies or shut down business at any time.
